The sustainability of our planet is one of the most critical issues facing our generation, and yet it’s overwhelming to know where to start. Join us for this unique Leadership Lab in partnership with Plant Chicago and learn about simple steps you can take - personally and with your company - to make a difference each day. We’ll begin with a tour of an aquaponics farm, then move into an interactive session to map and then reimagine your day to reduce waste individually and within your company using principles we learn from the circular economy. We will wrap up the afternoon with a debrief and a drink at The Whiner Beer Company Taproom in The Plant facility.

By the end of this experience, participants will:

  • Gain awareness about closed loop systems and the value of locally sustainable food production to our communities and planet

  • Understand the principles of the circular economy to reduce single use consumption and waste individually and within your company

  • Apply and have the tools to lead others in mapping consumption activities while identifying opportunities to reduce single use waste and conserve water, energy and the environment
