Hearing potentially negative things about yourself is no one’s idea of a good time, and as a manager, giving constructive feedback can also be a challenge. Learning to both receive and provide candid feedback is one of the fundamental skills we need in life. It is essential to achieving our own potential as well as helping others realize theirs. In this Leadership Lab, we’ll learn that feedback does not need to be something we avoid or dread. Rather, it can be a productive and positive experience if you go into it with the right skills and mindset.

Apply an open and constructive mindset to receiving feedback
Set-up and frame the giving of feedback in ways that maximize receptivity and growth
Utilize trust-building language in the process of giving and receiving feedback
