About Ndola

Upon arrival, you will notice that Zambia is a country full of wide-open plains, lush forests, winding rivers, and magnificent waterfalls. Though it is one of Africa’s least populated countries, the rich cultural values and traditions of more than 70 ethnically diverse people are dispersed throughout the land. Ndola is located in the heart of Zambia’s copper-mining region known as the Copperbelt Province.

About our Community Partner in Ndola

Our partner organization, Hope, is located in Ndola’s neighborhood of Twapia. Like many other areas in Zambia, the people of Twapia have been severely affected by poverty and the AIDS pandemic. The Hope House and Hope School located in this village provide the hundreds of children who live there with food, education, healthcare, and support. Our partnership supports these initiatives, and through our nonprofit arm, Spark Ventures, Hope has emerged as a model for sustainable development and successful community outreach.
