our community partner in Mexico

EntreAmigos community center was founded in 2006 in the heart of San Pancho, Mexico. What started as teaching arts and crafts on a kitchen table in a neighborhood front yard has grown into a vibrant center dedicated to education, environmentalism, youth and their families. The home to most of their programming is a remodeled 16,000 square foot warehouse considered a model in sustainability, designed using majority recycled materials.

Ignite’s philanthropic arm, Spark Ventures, provides funding and strategic support to their at-risk youth and women’s entrepreneur programs. As part of the community engagement, Ignite travelers learn and contribute alongside of Entreamigos programs, help by facilitating projects with the students or training and development with adult programs, share meals with the Entreamigos leaders, and participate in other rich cultural exchange and collaboration.

Community Engagement

our experiences are built around partnerships that empower communities

Engage in projects that are creative, physical or strategic.
  • Creative projects include academic learning, reading, art, music and sports.
  • Physical activities include giving local workers a break from their regular duties in the kitchen, serving meals, or joining projects like painting, planting, or landscaping.
  • Strategic activities are designed to match travelers with specific skill sets or backgrounds with organizational, business, or leadership development related needs and opportunities.
