Who is ignite?
Ignite offers 4-5 day journeys that focus on personal and professional development, networking, and cultural immersion alongside our community partners who champion social, economic, and environmental impact. We take care of everything.
How does it work?
Ignite works with companies of all sizes who are looking to reward, train, and invest in their employees in a unique and sustainable way. Our journeys are created to mutually benefit the employers and their teams (along with the destinations we visit). If you feel like this is something you would want to see your company do- take the initiative! You can propose us to your company (and potentially have them sponsor your journey) with complete guidance and support from Ignite’s team.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE journey fee?
Your accommodation, transportation, meals, activities and excursions with a 5-10% contribution to our local partner is included. The only expense would be your flight to and from the destination.
Who should I reach out to in my company?
This will vary… but having a conversation with your Manager is a good start. Think about individuals who have an interest in employee development and social responsibility (HR and/or CSR). Still not sure? Get in contact with us- and Ignite team member is more than happy to help.
What materials would I need?
We are here to guide and support you through the entire process. Get in contact with us- along with guidance and support, we will provide you with a personalized toolkit to make the best case to your company.
Which journeys can I choose from?
At the moment we offer Professional Development and Leadership journeys to Mexico and Nicaragua outlined here. These are only 2-3 days out of office.
How long should I wait to hear back from my company?
This will vary, but you should always follow-up with your lead to see where you are in the process.
What if they say no?
Don’t get discouraged- schedule a conversation with them to discuss the reasoning behind their decision. This will show them that you care and keep those lines of communication open :) Also- this does not mean that you can't go, grab a friend (or go solo) on one of our upcoming trips
